Do you find yourself wondering and continually change the things you are doing? Why is that we cannot focus one things at a time. Or is it that we do not want to focus on one thing at a time. We want to multitask.
We have this thinking that if we are doing more than one thing at time we are using our time effectively. But it is not true. If you really want to maximize your productivity you should do one things at a time. Give it your 100%.
But you cannot focus for more than 10 min on a given task so what should you do? You should set a timer of 12 min focus all you thoughts and action on one single task.
When you are able to do it with ease you should start to increase your time. But you should not increase it beyond 20 min. You should do your work in 20 min block focus all your energy on one single task so that you can achieve maximum result in minimum time.
After you 20 min is over get up from your desk and breathe 3 deep breaths. When you have completed 3 of this 20 min set take a long break of 15 to 20 min before starting again.
If practice this method for some time you see an increase in your productivity by at least 100% or even more.
Sometimes the easy alternative is the best alternative. Try the following method of 30 days. If it increases your productivity great. If not try something else.
Everybody is different so no answer fits all try new things and see what work for you.
