People are generally afraid of change this fear of change stop them in there self improvement process. The only way to over come any fear is to face it. That’s it that simple all you have to do is face your fear eye to eye.
When I was a little boy I use to be afraid of dark. I use to see things in the dark like some figure or like someone standing there. So what I did was when ever I see something in dark at place of fearing from it I ran towards it. After doing this for sometime my fear was gone.
You have to get out of your comfort zone to do it. You have to have a really strong motivation to change and the willingness to take action. If you do not take action nothing is going to happen. Take for example if someone is afraid of heights what action can he take to overcome this fear. First thing he has to do is find some one who he totally trust.
Ask him/her to come with you. Explain them what are you going to do and how are you going to do it and what do you need them to do for you. You have to be very clear.
Now make failure impossible. How can you do it? You will promise to do something that you don’t like to do at all. Like clearing bathroom for your parents or anything that you don’t like. And you will promise you buddy that if you did not take action against you fear you will do the thing that you don’t like to do.
Create a sense of responsibility. Now all set. Like in our previous example the person with fear of high have chosen the action to go to the highest building near his area. He will go with his buddy. After he has done that it don’t mean that his fear of heights are gone. He has to do it again and again till he has a control over his fear.
Now it is your turn for self improvement you will select one of your fear and face it. TODAY!!
