Do you ever think of how much extra time you will have if you sleep less? How much extra hours you will have for do what you really love to do. If you sleep for 8 hours a day you will be sleeping for 33% of your life. There are lots individuals who only sleep for 4 hours a day and that are enough.

Sleep is just to charge your mind. You need less sleep then you think you need. I want you do one experiment for one month.

Week 1

Sleep and wake up at same time for this week. You will sleep and wake up at same time for the whole week. For example you sleep at 10 Pm and wake up at 6 am. So you will sleep as the clock hit 10 pm even if you don’t feel tired. You need to prepare and do all the things that you need to do before you sleep for that set an alarm at 9 pm when you will start all your work to finish till 9:45 PM.

You should make a list of things that you will do after you wake up. Like get out of your bed, brush your teeth and exercise. Something likes that so that you can have a plan for what are you going to do when you wake up at the place of sleep for 5 min more.

Now imagine yourself following your plan the next morning and feeling content the night before. It may sound silly but it works like a charm.

Week 2

Now you will cut 15 min form you’re waking time if you wake up at 6 am. Now you will wake up at 5:45 am. And sleep at the exact time. You will do this for whole week.

Week 3

Now it’s time to reduce 15 min more minutes form your sleep time. Now you will wake up at 5:30 am. As you can see that you are sleeping less and less time as weeks passes. But you will feel rested in the time you sleep because you are giving your body enough time to learn your new patters.

Week 4

Now you will wake up at 5:15 am. Now you will work out for at least 15 min as you have this extra time in your life. If you have not worked out for a long time you can start with wall push up. If it is too easy for you can do leg rising pushups. There are many versions you Google it online.

Week 5

Now you will wake up at 5 am. Now you can keep doing this until you get to your desired time. But when you have reduced an hour like we did in this 4 weeks you will for you sleep time for at least two week more before you start to reduce even more time.

Now you can reduce your sleep time without the fear of feeling tired at your work.

Hint:

  • Reduce you time on Sunday.
  • Always follow you sleep time don’t change it for weekend.
  • Find sometime interesting to do at place of sleeping.
